There are only 3 more shows to go in the run of Jesus Christ Superstar at Scotch College. Check this link out for a review http://tinyurl.com/jcsreview. It’s a very favourable review and speaks highly of both the MD & the orchestra and seeing as though I’m a part of the orchestra, I thought I’d take some of the credit!!

After a few days away from the show, I was back to playing JC Superstar again tonight. It seemed like ages since we last played and there were a few sound issues tonight. I think everyone in the orchestra was feeling that things sounded different. Overall, I think the show still went well and I’m looking forward to playing it again for the next 3 days before another break and then wrapping it all up next weekend…..then a road trip to play tenor sax with the Esstee Big Band at the Wangaratta Jazz Festival http://www.wangaratta-jazz.org.au/ and then with Latin Band Furia in Mulwala. Going to be great fun!! Can’t wait!

So we are through the first three performances of JC Superstar. All is going well. I’m really enjoying playing flute and clarinet. Even though that means I am missing out on some higher paying gigs playing saxophone…. It’s going to be nice to have a few days off playing the show but I’m starting to settle into it and we (the reed section) are playing really well together. The band has a great full sound, so nice to play with such great musos while having such a good time. Check out www.oscanet.com.au for more info
